Welcome to my Design Website. My name is Jenny Weston and I live and work as a freelance
multimedia textile and greeting card designer in the heart of Leicestershire, United Kingdom.
I'm 27 years old and was born in the City of Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England. I first became
interested in art and design during my period of education at the Meadowhead School in Sheffield.
I then went on to study art and design for two years at Sheffields Loxley College, where I gained
my qualifications to enable me to attend University. I finally graduated and gained my degree in
2004 in Artefact Design at the De-Montfort University in Leicester.
In April 2005 I started working as freelance designer, working mainly from home in the comforts of
my own studio. All my designs are handmade and constructed using decorative coloured papers,
threads, fabrics and then sewn onto card with a variety of different stitching techniques.
My design business and website portfolio are still in the early stages of development, but already
my unique designs are capturing the imagination of many businesses and I am designing for a
number of companies with some of my designs being sold all over the world.
Although most of my designs are sold to companies who specialise in the greeting card, gift wrap
and artefact gift sector, I can also produce designs for companies who specialise in the children’s
clothing market, producing decorative motif designs for childrenswear.
My design ideas usually start with a brief from a particular company, they specify the occasion,
style and colour scheme, then i get my ideas and inspiration from looking at all the things that
surround us in our daily lives.
With the help of my partner and family, my ambition is to run a successful design business and to

Within my website you will find cards designed, specifically dedicated to raising funds for the
Fibromyalgia Campaign. My reasons for helping this particular campaign, is the fact my father
suffers from this debilitating illness of Fibromyalgia.
